Artist Statement
My art is originated from the belief that it is acceptable to exist just to exist and that a person is valuable without societal implications. I use reflection to explore themes of existence, gender identity and self-expression within current ecosystems. Systematic injustice inspires me to challenge current ways of living and social identities. Because I believe that our economic, governmental, and sociological environment inhibits our quality of life it is imperative to my practice that I represent gender non-conformity and human experience.
